our journey begins
Our journey with pondür started back in 2005 while looking for a clothing option that had a modern look yet was inspiring. Well, we never found that clothing line back then, so we decided to create it. When looking for the perfect name for our company we looked for words that would represent our concept of thought provoking, so we took the word "ponder" from the dictionary, added a little flare to the spelling, and pondür was born!
our journey to organic
We first started out as a non-organic clothing line but soon after we launched, we came across information about how much synthetic fertilizer it takes to grow enough cotton for one conventional adult t-shirt, which is about one-third of the t-shirts weight, and this changed everything. A few years later we then re-launched our company as pondür organic apparel, focusing on the baby industry first as they have the most sensitive immune system & it is imperative that we do what we can as parents/caregivers to protect them from this toxic world. It is also imperative that we remind our children that their possibilities are endless & to DREAM BIG!
